About the Course

The AOPC is a comprehensive 5-day program developed through a collaboration between the National Treasury and the Ministry of Public Service. It provides a strategic platform for high-level officials to engage with seasoned professionals and peers to address the complexities of public sector management. The curriculum is structured into eight learning modules covering governance, financial management, procurement, human capital, and national security.

Aim of the Course

To empower accounting officers with a deep understanding of their legal and professional obligations, equipping them with the skills to prudently manage public resources, navigate institutional challenges, and strategically position their organizations for excellent service delivery.

Target Audience

Accounting Officers in Ministries, County Governments, State Corporations, Constitutional Commissions, the Judiciary, the Legislature, and private sector corporate executives.

  • Public Finance Mastery: Gain advanced proficiency in the legal frameworks governing public financial management (PFM Act).
  • Budgetary Oversight: Develop skills for effective budget formulation, implementation, and rigorous monitoring.
