About the Course

The AOP is an intensive five-day program developed through a collaboration between the National Treasury and the Ministry of Public Service. It serves as a high-level intervention to address the complex responsibilities of Accounting Officers (CEOs and Principal Secretaries). The program focuses on the legal frameworks governing public finance, the nuances of state corporation management, and the ethical leadership required to manage public interest.

Aim of the Course

The primary aim of the Accounting Officers Program is to empower senior officials with a deeper understanding of their statutory obligations and to equip them with the strategic leadership, financial management and ethical competencies necessary to ensure high institutional performance, transparency and accountability in the delivery of services to citizens.

Target Audience

Accounting Officers in Ministries, County Governments, State Corporations, Constitutional Commissions, the Judiciary, the Legislature, and private sector corporate executives.
