About the Course

The Communication Skills for Public Service Officers Course is designed to strengthen the ability of government officials to communicate effectively in diverse public service environments. It addresses both verbal and non-verbal communication, written communication, interpersonal skills and digital communication in the public sector. The course explores key areas such as official communication protocols, report writing, public speaking, customer engagement, conflict resolution and ethical communication. It also emphasizes the importance of transparency, accountability and responsiveness when interacting with citizens and stakeholders. Participants will learn how to tailor messages to different audiences, manage communication in sensitive situations and uphold professionalism in all forms of interaction. Practical exercises, case studies and simulations are used to build real-world communication competence.
