The CPPB course provides public and private sector professionals with the technical competencies required to mainstream climate change into national and sub-national development frameworks. It focuses on the integration of climate-resilient strategies into Medium Term Plans (MTPs), County Integrated Development Plans (CIDPs), and the national budget cycle. The curriculum covers climate finance tracking, the legal mandates of the Climate Change Act 2016, and the use of budget coding (like Rio Markers) to monitor climate-related expenditures.
