About the Course
Aim of the Course
The aim of the Prevention and Control of Violent Extremism (P/CVE) Course for Senior Officers at the Kenya School of Government is to strengthen the capacity of senior officers to effectively prevent, detect and respond to violent extremism through strategic, coordinated and preventive approaches.
Target Audience
Senior security officers in JG P and above
Learning Outcomes
- An understanding of the historical development and concepts of the VE and terrorism
- An awareness of the conditions conducive for the emergence and spread of VE and terrorism
- Capacity to propose relevant CVE responses tailored to specific contexts
- Knowledge of challenges associated with CVE efforts
