The Child-Responsive Budgeting program is designed to support officers and practitioners to better include children’s needs in planning and budgeting processes. The course takes participants through the budget cycle and shows how decisions made at each stage can affect children’s lives. It provides practical approaches to identifying priorities, allocating resources, and tracking spending on child-focused programs. Participants will also learn how to use data to guide decisions, improve accountability, and ensure transparency in the use of public funds. The program encourages collaboration across sectors and promotes the involvement of communities, including children, in decision-making. By the end of the training, participants will be better prepared to make budgeting decisions that lead to real and positive outcomes for children.
